Did some fab workshops last week in a church.The theme was winter and I worked with lots of children drawing trees and snow themes.
It had been a long time since I had done this and I really enjoyed it.

Finally got my shop reopen again on etsy

Today in the shop is some facesheep.
This was orginally done for a magazine in 2011 based on the way we are are sheep and we follow everyone.
Please note this is the only place at time of writing that you can get them and any feedback on what to put in my shop.

Afternoon all.
What a weekend looking at agents and book publishers and been working out letters.I have always been frightened to get my work out and never really knew what to write/send.

I have also joined Linkedin and met some nice arty people,i have put a new link button on the side bar so i hopefully see you there so look here

Well I started getting my old work in order and going to go for it.Maybe this will be a great blog from now.Look forward to telling you good news soon.

Well another week has gone by.
Hope you have all been arty.Been very busy this week redoing my cv (well my art one)It's been the first time I have done this and was hard remembering in what I have done!!.I got some freelance work coming up and trying to get a art job at last.Why not.!!??.

I have also been looking on Linkedin as it seems to be the place for arty people.

As to the private View in SlackSpace.Well it looked a great night and I wished I had put more work in,i couldn't go as I had flu but seen the photos and it looked (heard) it was a great night.Pity as I like private views.

Good news at last.

I did a drawing for a book in which is now published.Its the first time I have seen my work in print and very pleased with it.

So onwards to many more.

Its a poetry book by Michelle Gaddes called Pariah.a interesting way of words and very thoughtful.

Having My Work Shown In Mexico

Well what a week.
I have some time off from my paid work at last so i could work on my art work.So what happened this week?.the BIG news for me this week was i was contacted by a friend on Facebook in which she wanted to use my studio and art work in a presentation for teachers and librarians who support reading groups.This was a talk about creative process and the link to art and the ideas are told by images even thought they are not written.

It was a honor to be on the same presentation as artists as Lisa Evans,Oliver Jeffers and Anthony Brown and really made me think about having my work in different counties.

Not been on this blog for a long time as i have been very busy doing my ongoing "a drawing a Day project".I still have Seven Months to go for it and i hopefully will have it in a exhibition at one point.This has changed my art work hopefully for the better and would next year like to do a drawing for sale a day project.I will just have to wait and see what happens..

Good morning my arty friends.So what happened this week?.Got some work coming up for a exhibition coming up,and in the middle of trying to work out what i can do with my art as a business?
this is something they never taught you at art school!!.

Hello my arty friends,so sorry if you are following me on this blog as i haven't posted anything for a wee while.
so what have i been up to,you may ask.?
well i went to the wonderful "Just Imagine" bookshop in chelmsford run by the wonderful nikki gamble to see a wonderful talk by walker books.it was get so meet so many arty people talking about childrens books.do pop in if any of you are in chelmsford,uk.

i also was invited to go to london (Fleet Street) to be a honorary guest for the scbwi group (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators).this was the first time and maybe the last time i will be asked to be a guest,in which i met lots of writers and had a lot of ale,a very kind and wonderful group and look forward to the next one in august.(see photo)

as to my drawing a day ,yes only about 200 days left,a ongoing project i think..

i hope you are all being arty and i will try to put more work on this book ,maybe mix both together.

Not much again has happened.think after the one man show that I am a bit burned out and need a rest.
Got some work in a shop (no 4A),that I am pleased with (see photo) and still testing work on frames.

So many learning curves at the moment with my work but yes I'm getting there and have many things in the pipeline.

Well,my one man show is now over.
I must say I learned alot about putting and hanging up up and working out the order of the paintings.
I must say it was a great success and it is so good to see people living my work.I think looking at them you can see every mark and worry that goes into them.

Going to try to get some frames and sell them on my shop,will let you know when they are in

Monday morning and the birds are singing.
What a weekend and a learning curve.I did my first one man show in rugby and the private view with lots of wine and cheese.
It was was amazing to see so many people like my work as I have been in that cold studio for so long .

Another week gone by..
So what happened this week (well last week!).Well I didn't get to my meeting a week ago because of the bad weather in my area and I went this week for only my 2nd meeting !!!
And how fab was that,yes I signed on the dotted line and have a one man show in Rugby School,(yes the famous one).
Got a lot of work to do and presently in my cold studio working on two pieces as we speak.
Just thought you all may like to know.

Two blogs in two days!!.
Well I Love seeing all of your blogs as I look around the web.So many great artists and creative people out there.It's strange to think that about 10 years ago it would be so hard to get our work out there for people to see,and now you can just draw and post and show your work.

Yes arty another week has gone by,and I hope you have all been arty.
As to news on my work well,,good news it seems I will being having a solo Exhibition in Jan 2011.this will be in rugby,Warwickshire,uk for a two week period.
More news when I hear it.really can't wait as I lived in rugby for many years and will fun for me to go back and show my work.
As to other fab news I got some Work for the spaceSlack auction on Nov 28th in Colchester uk.I will have two pieces in there,and will hopefully see some of you there.

So I hope you have all been drawing and enjoying the lovely colours on the trees at the moment.I'm loving the bright orange/deep red in the trees in the uk.

Well what a week again,I went to the Cambridge folk festival at the weekend and did some drawings (see main photo)and listened to some great music,loved it.
Still got my moira painting for sale on the etsy shop and will later on today get another piece up( a spacebird?).
Seems that I can't stop drawing and coming up with ideas at the present time and got another book floating around in my head that I hope I will get out there

Well after 38 Years I have finally got a shop
yes a Adrian mills illustrator shop on Etsy

things still new but will be working on some paintings/prints for it in the next week
I do hope this is the beginning of new things
